Kate Guillen is the founder of Simplicity Ops, an Operations Management firm that helps financial advisory businesses scale with clarity, confidence, and operational excellence. 

 With over a decade of industry experience, Kate is known for transforming chaos into structure and building custom operating systems that streamline workflows, empower teams, and elevate the client experience.

 Her journey began as a Client Service Associate at a broker-dealer and later as an Operations Manager at an RIA, where she discovered her passion for operations and saw firsthand how inefficient systems can limit a firm’s potential. She quickly recognized that most advisory firms don’t need more tools, they need more structure.

 In 2020, Kate launched Simplicity Ops with a clear mission: to simplify the business of running an investment advisory firm. Since then, her team has partnered with over 120 advisory firms to build scalable, repeatable, and human-centered operating systems that support growth without sacrificing service.

Kate brings a thoughtful, systems-driven approach to every engagement, grounded in the belief that great businesses are built from the inside out, through empowered people, efficient processes, and a service experience that clients genuinely feel.

Kate lives in San Diego with her husband, two young daughters, a few cats, and a backyard full of chickens. She finds joy in cooking, traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and hosting her favorite people around the dinner table.
